What private label means at Hide Fashion.
Every piece ships under your brand. Your woven labels, care labels, hang tags, embossing, dust bags, polybags and cartons follow your artwork and the labeling rules of your destination market. An NDA is available before you share a design, and files sent through the inquiry form are received privately.
Private label at Hide Fashion runs through one of two routes. Both ship under your label.
OEM
Bring your design.
What you send: a tech pack, graded pattern, reference sample, sketch or construction brief. What we do: review the construction, fit and leather, grade the pattern into the size system your market needs, build the sample and produce to the approved reference. A custom sample takes 1 to 1.5 weeks. Shipping is separate.
Choose a factory-developed, production-tested base style, then direct the leather, construction, finish, hardware and branding. A catalog sample is ready in 3 to 4 days. Use the style number in your brief, for example HF-AUT26-101-026 Cognac Leather Biker Jacket, HF-AUT26-101-015 Tan Shearling-Lined Aviator Jacket, HF-AUT26-102-007 Cognac Structured Commuter Tote, HF-AUT26-102-028 Grey Leather Weekender Duffle.
Bombers and blousons, aviator and shearling jackets, structured outerwear, and hand-worked styles (Kari embroidery, studs, fringe, appliqué), in women’s and men’s ranges graded to your size chart.
Dress belts, casual and jeans belts, fashion belts, reversible and lined belts, and belts coordinated with a jacket or bag range.
Small leather goods
Wallets, cardholders and pouches developed to match the leather, edge finish and hardware of a bag range, so a coordinated collection ships together.
Minimum order: 50 pieces per style, per colour.
Production runs from 50 pieces per style, per colour, and colours can't be mixed within the 50. The confirmed minimum depends on leather, construction and hand-work, and is set at quotation.
Plan the first order. Prepare for the next.
Before you commit to volume, we review capacity, production dates and expected delivery. A committed order schedule lets us plan materials and production time earlier. If that lowers our cost, we can reflect the saving in your price.
Our Noida factory has capacity for 4,000 leather garments a month and exports about 3,500 on average, with production runs from 50 pieces per style, per colour.
Leather, chosen at the brief stage.
The leather library lets you compare type, hand-feel, color, weight and finish before development begins. The leather chosen at the brief is held for the order. Any style can be made in any suitable leather from the library, or in one matched from your swatch.
Lamb
Lamb nappa, Italian-tanned lamb and lamb shearling.
Goat
Goat suede and washed goat.
Cow
Waxed pull-up cow, and vegetable-tanned natural grain for belts.
We work with LWG-certified tanneries for leather sourcing. LWG certification applies to the tannery where the leather is made.
Sampling: 3–4 days for a catalog style, 1–1.5 weeks custom.
An exact catalog style is ready in the factory in 3 to 4 days. A sample built to your tech pack takes 1 to 1.5 weeks. Shipping is separate, following the carrier and route you choose.
Fixed at approval
The leather; the construction (seams, stitch density, edge finish, panel layout); fit or dimensions; hardware and trims; labels and branding; packing. The approved sample fixes these, so bulk repeats the sample.
Anything not covered in writing can be settled in a 30-minute product review.
01 / 07Send a brief.
A sketch, reference image, physical sample, tech pack or base style number is enough. We confirm receipt within one working day.
02 / 07Feasibility review.
Within two working days we reply with the development route and what is still needed to cost it.
03 / 07Materials.
Leather type, weight, color and finish are reviewed against the brief, together with lining, hardware and trims.
04 / 07Pattern and sample.
The pattern is drafted or adapted from the base style and graded into your size system. The sample is built: 3–4 days for a catalog style, 1–1.5 weeks custom.
05 / 07Review and approval.
You check construction, fit and leather. Changes are recorded, and the approved sample becomes the bulk reference.
06 / 07Bulk production.
Sample approved, then 60–70 days, then packed for release. Production runs through seven stages: sampling and grading, cutting, pre-assembly, stitching, finishing, final QC, packaging.
07 / 07Export documents.
Origin evidence, HS classification support and export documents are prepared with the order.
More than 50 checks across production: cutting-stage checks, a 9-point in-line check at stitching, a 13-point finishing check and a 23-point final quality control by a separate team. Each piece is approved for packing, returned for repair, or rejected. Only approved pieces are packed.

03 / 07Pre-assembly preparation
Cut pieces are aligned and backed, and the construction marks needed by the sewing line are added.
04 / 07Stitching
The line follows the approved construction. A 9-point in-line check catches issues while they can still be corrected.
05 / 07Finishing
Adhesive is removed, threads trimmed and edges prepared. A 13-point finishing check is completed.
06 / 07Final quality control
A separate team checks every piece against 23 final-QC points: approved for packing, returned for repair or rejected.
07 / 07Packaging and release
Only approved pieces are protected, identified and packed for shipment.

What is the difference between OEM and private label leather manufacturing?
OEM means we build to your design: a tech pack, pattern, sample or sketch. Private ODM means you start from one of our factory-developed, production-tested base styles and direct the leather, construction, finish, hardware and branding. At Hide Fashion both routes are private label: every piece ships under your label, with your labels, tags and packaging.
What is your minimum order for private label leather goods?
Production runs from 50 pieces per style, per colour, and colours can't be mixed within the 50. The exact minimum is confirmed at quotation. It depends on leather, construction and hand-work.
How long do sampling and bulk production take?
A catalog sample is ready in the factory in 3 to 4 days. A custom sample built to your tech pack takes 1 to 1.5 weeks. Shipping is separate and follows the carrier and route you choose. Bulk production usually takes 60 to 70 days after you approve the sample, and we confirm the date for your order when we quote.
Will my products carry only my brand, and do you sign NDAs?
Yes. Woven labels, care labels, hang tags, embossing, dust bags, polybags and cartons follow your artwork and the labeling rules of your market. An NDA is available before you share a design, and files sent through the inquiry form are received privately.
Is Hide Fashion SMETA certified?
SMETA is an audit, not a certification. Our Noida site had a SMETA 4-pillar audit by Intertek India on 13 February 2026, covering labour standards, health and safety, environment and business ethics. The report is on the Sedex platform under site ZS1000097789, audit reference ZAA600186041, and audit details are shared with buyers on request.
Is your leather LWG certified?
LWG certifies tanneries, not finished products. We work with LWG-certified tanneries for leather sourcing, and the certification applies to the tannery where the leather is made.
Do private label leather goods from India enter the UK duty-free?
Yes, for qualifying goods. Since 15 July 2026 the UK–India CETA gives 0% duty on leather apparel (HS 4203.10, previously 4%) and leather handbags (HS 4202.21, previously 2%), subject to proof of origin. Import VAT still applies. We prepare origin documentation with the order. The EU–India agreement is concluded but not yet in force.
What duty do US brands pay on leather jackets from India?
US duty on leather jackets (HTS 4203.10.40) is 6% and on leather handbags 9%, plus the 10-point Section 301 surcharge applied to goods of India since 24 July 2026. There is no preferential agreement; the HTS line and the surcharge are recalculated before every landed-cost quotation.
