Buyer guide ยท Briefing a leather factory

What to send a leather manufacturer for a quotation.

To quote a leather jacket or a leather bag, a manufacturer needs the design, the leather, the construction, the quantity and the destination. A complete tech pack answers all five. A sketch or reference image with the points below is enough for Hide Fashion to review feasibility and tell you what is still missing.

For your own design: the full checklist.

Send what you have. Anything missing is raised in the first review.

For a base style: the short list.

A factory-developed style already has a tested pattern, so the brief is shorter and the sample is ready in 2 days.

What changes the cost.

A quotation is built from these six things. Each is confirmed in writing for your style, leather and quantity.

What happens after you send it.

Three things, in this order.

Where to go next.

Questions

Tech pack checklist: questions.

Anything not answered here is covered in the 30-minute product review.

Do I need a complete tech pack to get a quotation?

No. A sketch or reference image with measurements, the leather you want, the quantity and the destination is enough for a first review. The team tells you what is still needed to cost the style.

What file formats can I send?

The enquiry form accepts PDF, AI, DXF, ZIP, XLSX and image files up to 4 MB. Larger files can follow by email.

How quickly will I hear back?

Hide Fashion replies within two working days from Noida with the development route and what is needed to cost the style.

What quantity should I put in the brief?

Give the pieces per style, colour and size you expect to order. Production runs from 50 pieces a style, and the exact minimum for your product is confirmed at quotation.

Can I send the brief under an NDA?

Yes. An NDA is available before you share a design, and files sent through the enquiry form are received privately.

Share your design or reference for a feasibility review.
