Leathers we use for jackets.

For jackets, the library has lamb nappa (0.7–0.9 mm), light and close to the body, and Italian-tanned lamb (0.6–0.8 mm), the softest. For warmth there is lamb shearling, with wool inside and a nappa or suede face. For texture there is goat suede, washed goat with a pebbled grain that breaks in with wear, and waxed pull-up cow that marks and ages. Leather varies by request. Any of these styles can be made in any suitable leather from the library, or in one matched from your swatch. Faux leather is available on request, including microfiber PU, PU, plant-based cactus or apple, and PVC, matched to your specification.

How a leather jacket is made and checked.

Seven stages, each with a check before the product moves on. More than 50 checks in total, tracked in the internal portal.

  1. 01 / 07Sampling and pattern grading

    The sample, construction, fit and leather are reviewed. Once approved, the pattern is graded into the sizes required.

  2. 02 / 07Leather-skin cutting

    Each pattern piece is placed around the natural character of the hide, cut and checked before it moves forward.

  3. 03 / 07Pre-assembly preparation

    Cut pieces are aligned and backed, and the construction marks needed by the sewing line are added.

  4. 04 / 07Stitching

    The line follows the approved construction. A 9-point in-line check catches issues while they can still be corrected.

  5. 05 / 07Finishing

    Adhesive is removed, threads trimmed and edges prepared. A 13-point finishing check is completed.

  6. 06 / 07Final quality control

    A separate team checks every piece against 23 final-QC points: approved for packing, returned for repair or rejected.

  7. 07 / 07Packaging and release

    Only approved pieces are protected, identified and packed for shipment.

How long does a leather jacket sample take?

A sample of an exact catalog style is ready in 3 to 4 days. A custom sample from your tech pack takes 1 to 1.5 weeks. Shipping is on top and follows the carrier and route you choose.

How long does bulk production take?

Bulk production usually takes 60 to 70 days after you approve the sample. We confirm the date for your order when we quote.

Can you work from a tech pack, or do you need a physical sample?

Either works. Send a tech pack, graded pattern, reference sample, sketch or the name of a base style. The pattern is graded in-house into the size system your market needs before bulk cutting.

How is quality checked on a leather jacket?

Every jacket passes more than 50 quality checks across production, including cutting-stage checks, a 9-point in-line check at stitching, a 13-point finishing check and a 23-point final quality control by a separate team. Only approved pieces are packed.

Can jackets carry our brand label and packaging?

Yes. Both OEM and private-label programs ship under your label. Woven labels, care labels, hang tags, polybags and cartons follow your artwork and the labeling rules of the destination market.
